Islamabad -The capital police on Saturday arrested eight outlaws, including four proclaimed offenders (POs), from various areas of the city, a police spokesman said.

According to details, Sub-Inspector Munir Khan and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Abdul Hameed from Tarnol Police Station along with police team arrested two accused namely Asif Jan and Muhammad Abrar.

Police separately recovered 1.200-kilogram opium from Asif Jan and one 30-bore pistol along five bullets from the possession of Abrar.

ASI Arif Hussain from Nilor Police Station arrested an accused Qasir Mehmood and recovered one 30-bore pistol along with 22 rounds from him. ASI Fatih Sher from Koral Police Station arrested an accused Ejiz Alam and recovered a liquor bottle from him. 

Similarly, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Afzal from Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) recovered stolen car bearing registration (LWH-1335) amounting Rs4,50,000 from accused Sajid.

Cases have been registered against all the accused and further investigations are underway in this regard.

Meanwhile, police teams of Aabpar, Ramna and Golra police stations during crackdown on proclaimed offenders arrested four pro-claimed offenders.

SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq has directed all heads of police stations to ensure the arrest of anti-social elements and report to him on daily basis.
