Sethi talks about education

Chief Minister Najam Sethi has said that education is the only key to rid the country of poverty, unemployment and other problems. He said that English has become an international and trade language. He said that getting competency in English language is essential for facing the international challenges. He said that Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi, Balochi, Pashto and other languages cannot be ignored at all. He said that we will have to adopt both Urdu and English languages for our progress and survival.
He expressed these views while addressing the graduation ceremony of Lahore American School at Expo Centre Johar Town on Saturday. Secretary Information Amjad Hussain, Principal of the school, Senior Advisors, members of school administration, parents, and a large number of male and female students were present on the occasion.
Congratulating the students on completing graduation, Najam Sethi said that they are the ambassadors of Pakistan and have to improve the image of the country abroad. He said that the students will have to play their effective role for providing a respectable place to the country in the comity of nations. The Chief Minister asked the students to pay attention to their education and serve the country and the nation by equipping themselves with modern knowledge. He said that public service is a form of worship. He asked officers to serve the people instead of becoming their ruler. Najam Sethi said that bureaucracy should make service to the people their moto by rising above political affiliations.–Staff Reporter
