LAHORE- Follow the 2013 Transfer Policy, the Punjab government has lifted the ban on teachers’ transfers and postings, says a notification.

The ban will remain lifted during the summer vacation and this routine will be followed in every academic year, the notification adds.

According to the school education department notification on, the ban on transfers and postings of teachers in the province had been lifted with effect from the first holiday of the summer vacations. “The respective transferring authorities may issue transfer orders according to the transfer policy 2013 issued vide notification no SO (SE-IV) 2-34/2009 dated April 17, 2013 that gives time lines to ensure transparent transfer/posting process.”

Receipt of Transfer Applications will be June 1 to June 20, Scrutiny of Applications will be from June 21 to June 27, display of Merit List and Placement on Notice Board and Website on June 28, receipt of objections will be accommodated from June 28 to July 4, and removal of objections will be done from July 5 to July 10. The issuance of transfer orders and placement on notice board and website will be ensured from July 11 to July 15.” The notification further said that Appeals could be filed if any from July 16 to July 22 that would be followed by decision from July 23 to July 31 that will conclude on August 14 by joining of appellants.  Moreover, the 2013 criteria for transfers will be as academic results 40 marks, service in far flung areas 20, seniority 10 and 15 marks each for wedlock and compassionate grounds.
