ATTOCK

Tehreek Istiqlal Central President Rehmat khan Wardag has said that America and other world powers do not want peace and prosperity in Pakistan and fresh drone attack reflects this wish to halt negotiations between Pakistani government and Taliban. While talking to The Nation here, the TI chief warned that failure of the PML-N leadership to adopt a clear stance on the issue of drones would lead to disappointment among the masses who had given a clear mandate to the party. He said that talks between Taliban and govt were soon expected but the recent drone attack had caused a great disturbance and Taliban leadership had withdrawn its talks offer. Wardag asserted that America never wanted peace in Pakistan vis-a-vis and in the region and therefore once again started drone attacks. He alleged that the PPP govt towed the policies of Musharaf and if the PML-N also continued such policies then public would become disappointed. Wardag demanded that special measures should be taken by the PML-N leadership so that peace could be ensured in Pakistan and in the regionARMY MARTYR LAID TO REST: Lance Naik Abdur Raheem who embraced martyrdom during operation “Al- Meezan” was laid to rest at his ancestral in Village Dhoke Kisran, 20-km away from here with full military honour.
