Ruling indiscriminately

The Sharif brothers have done it again. After completing the metro bus service in Lahore, they have now signed a contract with China to build a Metro Train in Lahore. Of course as a Lahori I feel proud that my city will have something which no other city has, but as I am now serving in rural Sindh, I have second thoughts. Many people complain that the Sharif brothers are only developing Lahore while the whole of Punjab is left out. Being the chief minister of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif should have prepared another project where the whole province could have benefited. For the moment, with this project, only Lahore is benefiting. The national railway network is in shambles all over the country, and they should have done something which would have transcended provincial bias.
The PML-N should have provided adequate railway services to all parts of the country, instead of approving another project meant specifically for Lahore. Nawaz Sharif was elected as the entire country’s Prime Minister and his brother, Shahbaz is Punjab’s Chief Minister, and not just in charge of Lahore.
