Rawalpindi - The newly appointed judge of Customs, Taxation and Anti Smuggling on Monday extended the judicial remand of famous model, actress and singer Ayyan Ali till June 15 in money laundering case. The court will take up bail plea of top model in money laundering case today (Tuesday).

According to details, a team of Pakistan Customs investigators produced Ayyan Ali, before newly appointed Customs, Taxation and Anti Smuggling Court Judge Rana Aftab Ahmed and produced incomplete charge sheet against the accused.

The defense lawyers objected and argued before the court that Customs officials have been using delaying tactics in Ayyan Ali case and not tabling complete charge sheet against her. On this, the judge snubbed the Customs Investigators and directed them to present complete charge sheet against the model. The judge extended the judicial remand of Ayyan Ali till June 15, 2015. Meanwhile, the court also deferred proceeding in bail plea of top model till today (Tuesday). Sardar Ishaq, lawyer of Ayyan Ali, when contacted, said the court would hold hearing in bail plea of his client today (Tuesday). The lawyer said that he filed the bail plea and stated the accused was a female and deserved relaxation. He said that earlier courts had granted bails to accused in cases of smuggling $1 million and $1.6 million. He said that as per apex court verdict, smuggling money was not an immortal act or anti-social activity.

Earlier, top model Ayyan Ali was produced by team of Customs amid tight security. A large numbers of fans of model were also present in the court premises.
