LAHORE - Parts of the country including Lahore received rainfall of varying intensities on Monday, making weather pleasant by decreasing the mercury level.

Rain-thundershower associated with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

In Lahore, strong winds started blowing at night that followed by rains. Cloudiness, strong winds and showers caused considerable decrease in temperature at nighttime, making weather pleasant.

On Monday, maximum and minimum temperature in the City was recorded 38 degree Celsius and 22 C respectively. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded 23 percent.

According to the experts, sasonal low lies over north Baluchistan and adjoining areas. A western disturbance is prevailing over upper parts of the country.

Local meteorological department has forecast partly cloudy weather with chances of dust raising winds/scattered rains for Lahore during the next 24 hours. Met office has forecast rain-thundershower associated with gusty winds at scattered places of Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas divisions and Kashmir and at scattered placers of Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal divisions, Islamabad, Upper FATA and Gilgit Baltistan. Hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
