Billions of rupees are being spent on the promotion of education by the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and there will be no child out of school across the province by 2018.

PML-N MPA Tariq Mehmood Bajwa remarked while addressing a gathering of students and teachers at a prize distribution ceremony held at GHS No-1 Sangla Hill. On the occasion, trophies, shields, certificates and cash prizes were distributed to students who got first, second and third positions in Chief Minister’s Speech and Essay Writing Competitions 2015 at Tehsil and District levels.

Executive District Officer (EDO) Education Misbah Talat welcomed the MPA and shared that more than 200 trophies/shields and cash prizes of more than Rs700,000 would be distributed among students who got positions at tehsil and district levels. Later, MPA Tariq Mehmood Bajwa and other renowned personalities of the PML distributed trophies, shields, certificates and cash prizes to position-holders.

Dua Rana, Atifa Shafiq, Muazma Khan, Huzefa Waheed, Ameer Hamza, Faisal Miran, Reeha Salim, Sheraz Javed Shooka, Javed Naeem, Umair Ashraf, Umar Sufian, Amina Yahya, Tamseel Umar and Kainat Naeem got first positions at district level and received trophies, merit certificate and Rs10,000 each.

Speaking on the occasion, MPA Bajwa expressed his pleasure over the outstanding performance of the students, saying that “it was what the Chief Minister competitions meant for.” He informed that multipurpose huge gymnasium, halls, additional classrooms and laboratories had been constructed in all the main education institutions of the district. The PML-N government has executed development projects which have no precedent in the district history including Sangla Interchange on Motoway, Clock Towers squares, up-gradation of hospital, schools, roads and parks,” he pointed out, adding that it was the vision of the incumbent government to provide all facilities to people at their threshold.

On the other hand, the EDO Education was happy over the arrangements made by Principal Ghulam Abbas Anjum, Vice Principal Tahir Ghafoor, AEO Boota Masih, President Headmaster Association Javed Ashraf Shooka and General Secretary Mirza Muhammad Salim under the supervision of program focal person District Education Officer (SE) Chaudhry Muhammad Sadiq.
