Senator Saud Majeed has said that record rigging took place in the local government elections held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province as it was also admitted by Chief Minister Pervez Khattak.
Talking to this scribe, he added that the success of PML-N candidates in Multan and other areas in the by-elections with heavy majority was the proof of his party’s performance. The government accompanied by the Pak Army was making efforts to eliminate terrorism from the country.
“Operation Zarb-e-Azab will continue till the end of terrorism. The government has started many programmes to create employment opportunities. Solid planning is being made to remove deprivation of Bahawalpur. As many as 117 posts have been created in Bahawalpur Kidney Centre for the people of Bahawalpur,” he said.
Various departments like the Bahawalpur Waste Management Company and the Parks &Horticulture Department had been established for the betterment of the region, he said. A motorway is being constructed in Bahawalpur as a result of which South Punjab will become an economy zone in the future, he hoped. National crises such as loadshedding are being fought by the government, he said. He added that to eliminate the sense of deprivation from Bahawalpur, the prime minister had announced the establishment of Industrial Zone on which working will start next year when Solar Park Project will complete and start producing 1,000MW electricity.
He said that the PM and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif thought of Bahawalpur as their second home and taking steps to resolve the problems being faced by the people.
