Islamabad - Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) is one of the institutions of the country where numerous schemes are introduced for the welfare of employees and distribution of scholarships among talented students is an important welfare measure.

The main object is to encourage the intelligent students so that they may carry their educational journey with more dedications and hard work and in future they can serve the nation as well as homeland. These views were expressed by Chairman POF Board Lt Gen Omar Mahmood Hayat, HI(M), while addressing an scholarship distribution ceremony held at POF Guest House, says a press release issued here yesterday.

The POF chairman hoped that the students would further improve their performance and continue their academic journey with dedication & devotion. He congratulated students, their parents and teachers who showed excellent performance in their academic career.

Director Admin, Brig Zaki Rehman Meer in his welcoming remarks told that POF administration is distributing scholarships worth Rs 4.3 million among 350 sons/daughters of serving and retired POF employees.

Later, the Chairman POF Board mingled among students and their parents.
