FAISALABAD - Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Ali listened to complaints at the monthly revenue public service court on Tuesday and ordered for their redress on the spot.
He said that delay in public matters’ resolution would not be tolerated. A total of 66 applicants were received at tehsil city and Sadar, out of which 42 were solved on the spot, while remaining applications would be addressed within the next three days.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue (ADCR) Fazal-e-Rabi, Assistant Commissioners Sadar and City Umar Maqbool, Syed Ayub Bukhari, Revenue Department officers, Assistant Director Land Record City and Sadar, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar and Patwaris were also present. The Awami Khidmat Revenue Services Kutchehris were also held at Tehsil Jaranwala, Sammundri, Tandlianwala and Chak Jhumra.
Woman ends life over
‘domestic dispute’
A young woman has committed suicide over a domestic dispute in the area of Jaranwala police station.
Police spokesman said on Tuesday that Iqra Bibi quarreled with her husband Zafar over a domestic dispute and the man reprimanded the spouse.
Over this issue, the woman got dejected and swallowed poisonous pills. As a result, she started feeling dilapidated condition and breathed her last on way to hospital.
276,580 persons vaccinated in Faisalabad
As many as 276,580 people have so far been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Faisalabad district.
District Health Officer Dr Ataul Mun’im said on Tuesday that 196,526 citizens had been given the first dose while 51,136 were administered the second dose of vaccine. He said that 17,065 health workers were also given first dose and 11,853 received the second dose of vaccine.
He told that 19 vaccination centres were operational in Faisalabad where registered persons were also getting anti-coronavirus vaccine doses.
He said that sufficient stock of anti-coronavirus vaccine was available in the district. As of now, 36,552 first doses and 24,369 second doses of vaccine were in the stock at Faisalabad, he added.
EPD seals 5 brick kilns
The Environment Protection Department has sealed five brick-kilns for not adopting modern zigzag technology.
A spokesman for the department said on Tuesday that teams of Environment Protection Department visited brick-kilns in the district and found five kilns running on old bull trench technology and emitting excessive smoke direct into the air.
The teams sealed premises of the kilns and got cases registered against their owners, spokesman added.
