LAHORE - The National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) handed over the lost bag carrying expensive laptop, mobile phones, cheque books, important documents and cash to the owner on motorway near service area Chakri. According to a press release issued on Sunday, the Motorway Police Chakri section got information from one Tahir Mahmood that he lost his bag while he was traveling on motorway somewhere between Islamabad and Lahore. He said that he lost his bag in Chakri service area and requested the Motorway Police for help in this regard. The NH&MP Chakri Admin Officer Mohammed Younis and APO Mohammed Arif searched the service area and successfully managed to find out the bag. The NH&MP officers contacted the person and informed him that the bag was recovered. The owner come back, checked his bag in the presence of witness and found that all the things in bag like lap top, mobile phones, and other valuables were available in it. The police handed over the bag to him after due formalities. He appreciated the integrity, honesty and dutifulness of motorway police. Dr Waseem Kauser Inspector General National Highways & motorway Police awarded commendatory certificates to patrolling officers for showing the act of integrity and professionalism. On this occasion Dr Waseem Kauser said that honesty, and professionalism and providing help to road users is the hallmark of NH&MP and it will continue helping the road users. IG condoles death Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police Dr Waseem Kauser visited the residence of DIG Syed Ibne Hussain and expressed condolence over the sad demise of his father Syed Ghanzfer Abbass in Lahore. According to a press release, Syed Ibne Hussain thanked all the people who expressed sorrow and grief on the death of his father.
