LAHORE - Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senator Enver Baig and ANP leader Muhammad Azam Khan Hoti called on PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif at his Raiwind residence on Sunday and expressed their solidarity with him over his disqualification as a result of Supreme Court decision. Former Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was also present on the occasion. The leaders remained there for some time and also discussed country's current political situation with Sharif brothers. After the meeting Senator Enver Baig said he came here in his personal capacity to express solidarity with the PML-N leaders over their disqualification. He rejected reports that he had met Nawaz Sharif as President Zardari's emissary for a patch-up between the two parties. On the other hand, former NWFP minister Farid Tufan, who had joined PPP after his expulsion from ANP, also met Nawaz Sharif and had a detailed discussion regarding the present political scenario of the country. It is important to note that some other PPP leaders, including Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, have also showed their sympathies with Sharif brothers over the court verdict against them.
