Talha becomes 192nd player to get test cap

LAHORE - Medium pacer Muhammad Talha, who was rated very highly by the Pakistan team manager Yawar Saeed and coaches Intikhab Alam and Aaqib Javed, Sunday became the 192nd player to receive a test cap from Pakistan. The 20-year-old Faisalabad born, right arm, Talha replaced out of sorts Sohail Khan in the second test match against Sri Lanka here at the Gaddafi Stadium. Talha got the nod of selectors for his superb pace bowling and performance in the domestic matches in which he took 68 wickets in 17 matches. Talha is the third Pakistani player to receive a test cap in 2009, before opener Khurram Manzoor and paceman Sohail Khan were awarded test caps during the first test at Karachi.
