Well not indulge in negative politics: PM

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that they would prefer to sit on opposition benches rather than indulging in politics in contravention to the trust reposed by the people and get involved in the game of interests. He reiterated that his government would continue its principled and issue-based politics like they had done in the past three years in power where they had kept the cause of masses supreme and upheld the democratic values and norms. The Prime Minister was talking to Parliamentarians who called on him separately at his Parliament House Chaamber Tuesday. They included Syed Riaz Hussain Pirzada and Jamshed Dasti, MNAs. He said that selection of the new cabinet members has been made very carefully and the principle of public support has been followed. All the members of the cabinet including women are directly elected members of the Parliament. He said that size of the cabinet was reduced to demonstrate practically the seriousness of the government towards implementation of the 18th Amendment in letter and spirit. He urged the political forces of the country to set examples by following the true democratic norms and values. Jamshed Dasti exchanged views on the prevailing political and economic situation in the country.
