Bomb kills 3 FC soldiers in Kalat

QUETTA - A bomb blast on Saturday killed at least three paramilitary soldiers and wounded six others in the Balochistan city of Kalat.
The roadside bomb hit a patrol vehicle around 200 kilometres south of Quetta on a main road linking Balochistan to Karachi.
"At least three soldiers were martyred and six others were wounded, when a bomb planted by miscreants exploded on the national highway," Frontier Corps spokesman Abdul Wasay told AFP.
Nobody immediately claimed the responsibility for the attack. Local intelligence officials confirmed the bombing and casualties. An FC spokesman said that an FC vehicle was patrolling in Kalat district when it was targeted with an improvised explosive device, killing three soldiers.
He said six soldiers suffered serious wounds whiel their vehicle was completely destroyed in the attack. Three soldiers inside the vehicle were killed on the spot, he added.
In a separate incident in Dera Bugti, 10 militants were killed during an exchange of fire on Saturday morning, reported a private TV channel.
Wasay said an armed clash between forces and armed militants erupted in Darinjan and Rustam Bazar areas of Sui.
A huge cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the militants.
According to the spokesperson, the suspects were involved in blowing up gas pipelines and carrying out attacks on security forces in Bugti tribal territory.
