ISLAMABAD - Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) has arranged a weeklong multi-coloured programme to celebrate Jashn-e-Baharan for the entertainment of people in which first event titled 'Bachon Ka Mela held here on Friday. This sparkling event was being organised in collaboration with Ministry of Culture, Dolphin Communications and District Administration. Tariq Umar Khitab was the chief guest of this lively event. Mahmooda Ghazia, Director for Performing Arts PNCA informed TheNation that PNCA would arrange a 'Sham-e Ghazal programme in which renowned artists would present their excellent performance on May 2nd . While a comedy stage play 'Shughal-e-Azam would also be staged from May 3rd to May 7th in the premises of Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA). It was pertinent to mention here that 'Bachoon Ka Mela had a great deal of entertaining stuff for children in which puppet and magic show, folk dances, musical programs were thoroughly enjoyed by kids as well as elders. During the program it was observed by TheNation that a group of folk artists clad in traditional dresses significantly promote culture of Punjab while performing 'Drumbeat and daily domestic working of village women of this province. On this amazing occasion, hundreds of children participated with their full enthusiasm, which brought colour to the event and had taken keen interest especially in magic show, hand painting, and drumbeats. Their cheerful laughter gave the picture that how much they had been enjoying and having fun in the occasion as eye-catching and colourful arrangements attracted them It was informed that Rizwana Khan (PNCA, PTV and Radio singer) along with other singers from a group namely 'DJEIZ made their best efforts to amuse the children on this fascinating occasion. It is worth mentioning here that Jashn-e-Baharan is being traditionally celebrated in Pakistan with the advent of beautiful and breathtaking spring season. Aqeela Tariq
