ISLAMABAD (APP) - General Manager (Operations) Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) Iqbal Ali Shah said on Friday that there is no loadshedding anywhere in the country as the power situation has improved significantly due to prudent steps taken by the govt. Talking to a TV channel, he said as compared to the previous year at present the power generation is much better. During the month of April in previous year, the power deficit had reached up to 3,800 MW which has now been reduced to 600 MW, he said. He said thermal power plants efficiency has improved, and IPP is also producing electricity up to optimum level. Attock power plants have started generation, and advancing clock helped saving 250 MW, he added. He said electricity has also been saved through other conservation measures. He said problem of loadshedding would end completely by December this year. Two to three new power generation plants will be added in the system every month and it will enhance the power production capacity of the country, he said.
