ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid) President Ch Shujaat Hussain here on Friday announced to send a party delegation to Swat to assess the real situation on ground. Despite frequent requests made by PML-Q for sending a party delegation to Swat, the government is reluctant to give security clearance but now the Q-League will not wait for govts nod and send a select delegation to restive valley to monitor ground realities, Senator Ch Shujaat said while addressing a ceremony held at PML House to mark Labourer Day. He said that without entering into any deal with the government, the PML-Q would continue playing its role as a vibrant Opposition. The government is deliberately not convening All Parties Conference (APC) for which our party was the first to float proposal, he added. Defending the role of security forces in current scenario, Shujaat said that the Army had never ever killed any innocent and the criticism on Pak Army had no grounds. He claimed that PML-N would soon join the federal govt. He said that PML-Q would soon table a constitutional bill in the Parliament for safeguarding the rights of labourers. Secretary General PML-Q Mushahid Hussain Sayed speaking on the occasion said that under the leadership of Ch Shujaat Hussain, PML-Q was playing a role of strong Opposition, while other political parties were busy in power politics. He said that the government had failed to provide relief to poor masses of the country. The government should continue labour policy devised by PML-Q government, instead of wasting time on another policy, he suggested. Mushahid said that US President Barack Obama had no confidence in Pakistani sitting regime. The acts of terrorism incidents have soared to 2,341 in the tenure of incumbent government, while in 2007, 1,321 incidents had been reported, he stated. Additional Secretary General PML-Q Dr Muhammad Amjad, Iqbal Dar, Aleem Adil Sheikh and Ghulam Sarwar Khan were also present on the occasion.
