karachi - Muhajir Qaumi Movement-Haqqiqi Chairman Afaq Ahmed has vowed to continue his sit-in protest for indefinite period at Dawood Chowrangi, Landhi against restraining Haqqiqi from election campaign by the law-enforcement agencies.

He took out a rally along with hundreds of his workers and supporters from his residence in Defence area and moved to Sherpao Colony, Mansehra Colony and inaugurated his election offices. He later moved to Landhi graveyard to offer Fateha and also visited his old residence in Landhi 89.

It is pertinent to mention here that rallies of MQM-Haqqiqi and defunct Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan, renamed as Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat, were also came face to face when Afaq Ahmed came out of police Armed Personnel Carrier and stood up at the truck of SSP and also delivered speech with SSP Chief Orangzaib Farooqi.

Afaq travelled in police APC and addressed the rallies in different areas and finally staged sit-in protest at Dawood Chowrangi.

He while taking to the newsmen said that police and rangers do not allow for election campaign despite the directions of Sindh High Court. He said that law-enforcement agencies were not allowing him to go in his constituencies and the areas previously dominated by Haqqiqi.

He said MQM Haqqiqi would liberate the whole nation from terrorists involved in the murders of Muhajirs, Pukhtoons and others on ethnic grounds. He said that authorities were remain under the influence of rival political party and creating hurdles in the election campaign of Haqqiqi.
