LAHORE - The Government College University Economics Department is holding two-day moot titled ‘International Conference on Institutions, Growth and Development in Pakistan’ from Thursday (today).
The conference is being held under the auspices of Higher Education Commission (HEC), US Agency for International Development (USAID) and Dairy and Rural Development Foundation (DRDF).
State Bank of Pakistan Monetary Policy Director Dr Hamza Malik, Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Dr Nadeemul Haq, former finance minister Sartaj Aziz, USAID Director and, ex- finance secretary Nawid Ahson and other eminent economists from Pakistan and aboard will address the conference.
GCU Economics Department Chairperson Asif Saeed said that the objective of the conference was to promote dialogue on Pakistan’s future development priorities in the light of economic performance of the past decade.
PU seminar
Punjab Governor Makhdoom Syed Ahmad Mahmud will attend in a seminar to be jointly organised by the Sir Ganga Ram Heritage Foundation and the PU Centre for South Asian Studies in connection with Dr Ambedkar Day on Thursday (today).
Admissions
The PU Examinations Department has issued admissions fee and forms schedule., The dates of submission of admission forms and fee for the BS (4-Years Programme) 3rd & 5th semester examination 2013 are 8-5-2013 with single fee while the forms can be submitted with double fee until 10-5-2013.
The admission forms and fee will be received for BS Home Economics and MSc Home Economics annual examination 2013 till 15-5-2013 with single fee and 20-5-2013 with double fee. While BBA (Hons) Third and Final Year annual examination will commence with effect from 22-05-2013 and 23-05-2013 respectively and admission forms and fee can be submitted for the said exam till 10-05-2013 with single fee and 14-5-2013 with double fee.
