ISLAMABAD  - A two-day director generals (DGs) annual conference of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is starting today (Thursday) in Karachi to discuss the significant issues confronted with the bureau.Chairman NAB Admiral (Retd) Fasih Bokhari will preside over the conference while director generals of Lahore, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Quetta and Peshawar regions of NAB will participate in it. Besides this, deputy chairman NAB, DG Awareness & Prevention and other senior officials of NAB Headquarters will be the important participants. DG Karachi Region, Wajid Durrani, will host the conference.

A senior official of the NAB said the conference would discuss the performance of the NAB, the important cases being investigated by it and the problems being faced by the investigators as well as the bureau in performance of its duties. He further said Kamran Faisal, an investigator of NAB who was found dead in his official residence under mysterious circumstances, case would also come under discuss in the DGs conference. The conference will also look into how the positive image of the bureau could be portrayed among the masses and what were the drawbacks at its end in this connection.

The DGs conference is held every year and one of the regions of NAB used to host it.
