ISLAMABAD- Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) will take strict action for non- fastening seatbelt, using mobile phone while driving and use of high beam during night and no relaxation will be given to the violators. These directives were issued by SSP Traffic Muhammad Zubair Hashmi Saturday while reviewing the monthly report upon these violation under which, 10207 traffic violation tickets were issued for not fastening seat belt, 3004 and 2442 challans were issued for the use of mobile phone and high beam respectively. According to details, a special campaign had been started by ITP for not fastening of seat belt, use of mobile phone while driving and use of high beam during night. A progress report of the above violations was presented before the Senior Superintendent of Police.   According to the report, 10207 traffic violation tickets were issued for not fastening of seat belt, 3004 and 2442 challans tickets were issued for the use of mobile phone and high beam respectively fining at the tune of Rs 3062100, Rs 901200 and Rs488400 respectively during the last month.    SSP directed the ITP personnel to take strict action for not fastening of seat belt, using mobile phone while driving. He further directed all the officers of respective zones to send their progress report on the said violations on daily basis. He advised the road users to avoid from the use of mobile phone and high beam during night because these cause for road accidents while fastening of seat belt prove to be beneficial in case of any untoward incident if took place while driving.
