ISLAMABAD - Rehman Malik, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Interior Saturday chaired a high level meeting at Ministry of Interior, which was held to review the overall security situation in the country especially the existing security arrangements in the capital city. Syed Kamal Shah, Federal Secretary Interior, Kamran Lashari, Chief Commissioner ICT, Asghar Gerdezi, Inspector General of Police, ICT, representatives of Intelligence Agencies, CDA, CPO and DIG, Rawalpindi attended the meeting. The meeting decided that security of federal capital would be enhanced with all he available resources to protect the lives and property of the people.    The Adviser on Interior directed the law enforcement agencies to be more vigilant and to keep an eye on the terrorists to pre-empt any threat. He also desired that the law enforcement agencies should have close liaison with the public to ward off any possible security threat. He directed that all entry and exit points at the capital city should be properly manned and random checking of vehicles be carried out to maintain peace.
