Lahore/PESHAWAR - Jamat ud Dawa Pakistan observed Friday as protest day across the country against American drone Attacks in Pakistani territory.

Strong protest demonstrations, rallies, conferences and collective gatherings of juma prayer were held in different cities of the country including Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Multan, Karachi, Haiderabad, Quetta, Faisalabad, Rahim Yar Khan. Ulema, prayer leaders and leaders of religious parties in their speeches of Juma sermon talked about the killings of innocent Pakistanis in result of American drone attacks. Condemnation resolutions were passed and people were informed about the conspiracies of anti Islam forces.

A demonstration was held by Jamat ud Dawa at Chuburji Chowk in Lahore in which hundreds of students, lawyers, businessmen, civil society members and people from the all walks of life participated. Participants were holding play cards, banners and inscriptions in their hands with the slogans that drones should be shot down.  JuD chief Hafiz Saeed, deputy JI secretary general Dr Fareed Paracha, Maulana Saifullah Khalid, Jameel Ahmed Faizi advocate, SD Saqib, Maulana Abu Alhashim, Maulana Idrees Farooqi, Qari Sana ullah Farooqi, Maulana Ali Imran Shaheen and others addressed the protest demonstration.

Hafiz Saeed said that government should tell the America that drone attacks should be stopped if it wanted a safe withdrawal and if Pakistani territory was violated, drones would be shot down. He said, “All agreements of strategic partnership were ended after the first drone attack. Every truck of Nato supply should be stopped to drive through Pakistan after such attacks. Nothing happens just with talks and slogans.” 

Activists of Jamaat-ud Dawa Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter Friday asked the federal government and military chiefs to shoot down US drones for violating Pakistan’s airspace and killing innocent people inside tribal areas.

Scores of Jumat-ul-Dawa members and activists led by it provincial Ameer Ghulam Hussain, Abo-Moavia and Abo-Huzaifa were carried out a rally from Chowk Fawar (fountain square) Peshawar Cantt and moved towards Railway Station, where they held a protest demonstration in front of Peshawar Press Club. The protesting activists were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans in favour of their demands and against the US predators. Addressing the protestors on the occasion, JD Provincial Chief Hussain informed that the protest rally was carried out on the call of JD Central Ameer Prof Hafiz Saeed Ahmad and asked the government to save frontiers of the province by hitting down the US drones. He said that if the govt could not do its job then they were ready to come out in the field against the US.

“The US drone attacks are against the sovereignty, integrity of the country of the country and is also in violation of the national and international laws, “ Hussain said. He also termed the attacks on innocent tribesmen in violation of the charter of the United Nation and Human Rights, as hundreds of innocent tribal people were killed in these inhuman air strikes.

He said that the US has been imposed an unannounced and unilateral war on Pakistani nation and the incumbent government should take this issue at international forum. He also demanded to order the Pakistan Air Force for hitting these illegal drones inside Pakistan territories.
