karachi  - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Parliamentary leader in the Sindh Assembly Faisal Sabzwari has said that the delimitations in the Karachi should not be done on political consideration.

Talking to the media men outside the Sindh Assembly here on Friday, he said that the MQM has the 85 per cent mandate of the Karachi city and it is very important that the new districts should be formed keeping in view the public opinion and requirements.  He further said that MQM is not against the new delimitations in the port City and it should not be done on political basis. Provincial government should make districts where it is needed but it should be formed as per the public demands and opinions, he added.

To a question about the Local Bodies Act 2013, he said that the elected representatives were not given administrative and financial power in this act while LG system would be nothing if the powers were not delegated to the lower level.
