LAHORE: Prominent journalist, former columnist of daily Nawa-i-Waqt and former media adviser to the Punjab chief minister Rauf Tahir’s wife passed way due to liver cancer at a local hospital on Friday. She survived with two sons and a daughter. The funeral procession will be at 1:30am today (Saturday) at 703-F2 Wapda Town, Lahore.

Meanwhile, the house of Tahir was burgled for a second time in a month on Thursday night. The thieves broke into various rooms and made good their escape after looting valuables and cash. The thieves also broke into Tahir’s house in Wapda Town on October 12 when all family members were at Ittefaq Hospital. They had taken away jewelry, laptops and cash. Sattokatla police have registered a case with no arrest so far.–Staff Reporter
