KARACHI - At least nine suspects were arrested in drive of targeted operation carried out in various parts of the city by police here on Tuesday.

As many as nine suspects were taken into custody during targeted operations conducted by police in Block 12, Gulberg in Federal B Area and Moosa Colony.  Four more suspects were apprehended during police operation in Qasba Colony in Orangi Town.

The suspects arrested included Hassan alias Fauji, Abdullah, Waseem and Amir alias Cheeta. According to district West SSP Nasir Aftab, the suspect Hassan alias Fauji was wanted to police in at least half of a dozen cases of crime. Similarly, Baldia Town police also claim to have arrested six suspects during targeted operation in Lasi Para locality of Madina Colony. 

Two more suspects identified as Sajid and Shahbaz were arrested by Darakshan police station. Police officials also claim to have recovered weapons and cell phones from their possession. The suspects were shifted to different police stations where cases against them were also registered and further investigation was underway.
