ISLAMABAD - Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force attended the opening ceremony of Zhuhai Air Show - 2016 in China, PAF spokesperson said yesterday.
According to the spokesperson, a large number of delegations from different countries, including air chiefs of a number of air forces, were also present on the occasion. JF-17 aircraft of Pakistan Air Force has been put up for static as well as aerial display in the Air Show.
The air chief witnessed the aerial and static display of JF-17 Thunder. He also witnessed the aerial display of Chinese Air Force aerobatics team, Royal Air Force aerobatic team (Red Arrows), J-20, FTC 2,000 and various other aircraft.
Later on, he visited the Pakistan Pavilion, being set up by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra where he interacted with the PAF contingent participating in the show.
He appreciated the performance of PAF personnel in the show and said that the participation of Pakistan Air Force in this Air Show is a matter of pride for the nation.
The Air Chief also called on General Ma Xiotian, Commander Peoples Liberation Army (Air Force) and discussed matters of professional interest.
Both the dignitaries agreed to enhance the cooperation in training and capability enhancement between the two friendly air forces. Later on, he also visited various stalls at the show and met the high ranking officials of the air forces of various countries.
