Hike in POL prices flayed
SANGLA HILL-Pakistan Hube Watan Party (PHWP) chairman Manzoor Qadir termed the recent increase, up to Rs2.5 per litre, in prices of petroleum products a ‘cruel move’ by the government on Wednesday.
He said that the government is creating difficulties for the people instead of providing them relief. The price hike will cause more inflation in the country, therefore, this decision should be withdrawn, he demanded. The PHWP chief said the country requires long term planning for economic progress. “It also requires long term plans to meet the needs of future generations,” he added.
Manzoor Qadir said that the country has been confronted with political, economic and security crises but the national leaders are committing blunders and advancing the enemy’s agenda to destabilize the country. He claimed politics of Nawaz Sharif has come to an end, adding politics of other leaders would die out soon. He stressed the need for across-the-board accountability.
