Law to be enforced at all costs: CM

LAHORE - A meeting was held with Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in the chair at CM Office here on Thursday to review law and order in the provincial metropolis and other parts of the province.

It pondered over different steps to improve the law and order situation. Addressing the meeting, the CM made it clear the protection of life and property of citizens is the prime responsibility of the government and we will fulfill our duity at all costs.

“No one would be be allowed to disrupt daily life of people,” he added.  He directed that every possible step should be taken to bring back normalcy. He continued: “The government is cognizant of the troubles faced by the public because of closure of traffic; therefore, immediate steps should be taken for alternate routes and citizens should also be informed about it so that their troubles could be minimised.

“Implementation of law will be ensured at every cost and it will come into action in case of any violation, he said. Pakistan belongs to all of us and we will take every possible step to protect the life and property of the people along with ensuring maintenance of peace in the society.

The CM was briefed about general law and order situation and the flow of traffic in the province. Provincial law minister Raja Basharat, chief secretary, IG police, ACS (Home) and high officials attended the meeting.
