LAHORE - The 15th Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) International Squash Championship 2021 will get underway today (Tuesday) at Roshan Khan Jahangir Khan Squash Complex. Addressing a press conference, Tournament Director Cdre Kamran Ahmed said the international ranking points-carrying event includes nine local and 15 international players from Egypt, Hong Kong, USA and Kuwait.” The 1st CNS Squash Championship was played in 2000 with prize money of US$6,000, which was increased gradually with an aim of promoting squash and attracting world’s top players towards this court. “This year, US$20,000 has been earmarked as prize money for the championship.” Cdre Kamran said such international events help in showing the world a soft and positive image of Pakistan, which is a safe and secure country for sports and sportspersons.
