The government has launched the 'Waseela-e-Haq' program to extricate the poorest of poor from the ghettos through a one-time interest free loan of Rs 300,000 to be spent on schemes of income generation. Interestingly the event "to help the poor" was held in the five-star environs of the Presidency and attended by the President, Prime Minister, diplomats, federal ministers, senior government officials and the representatives of NGOs, all in designer clothes. They were treated to a multi-course Iftar buffet costing millions of taxpayers money. For how long will our ruling class continue to deceive people using hollow slogans like 'Waseela-e-Haq'? -DR.
