RAWALPINDI - The PML-N MNA and Chairman of Punjab Sasti Roti Scheme, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, on the directive of Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, would inaugurate the second mechanical sasti roti plant in Dhok Chiragdin near Railway Gate today (Friday) at 4:00pm. The PML-N MPAs, local leadership, party workers and other notables of the area would attend the inauguration ceremony, informed a spokesman of the MNA here on Thursday. Earlier, Hanif Abbasi had inaugurated the first-ever sasti roti scheme at Sadiqabad on July 1, 2009. The mechanical plant is working successfully where around 1,000 rotis of 100 gram are baked in one hour. It is worth to mention here that the Punjab government had launched the project to facilitate masses by providing them Roti at the rate of Rs 2. So far, five mechanical sasti roti plants had been set up in Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi. The Punjab government has planned to set up around 200 such plants all over the province to facilitate the poor people of the province.
