LAHORE Rawalpindi Rams outplayed Peshawar Panthers by 77 runs in the second semifinal to set final date with Sialkot Stallions in Faysal Bank National Twenty20 Cup on Saturday. Peshawar Panthers who required 169 runs for victory were bundled out for 91 runs in the 16th overs. Hammad Azam and Umar Amin were the chief destroyers as they grabbed three wickets each for 21 and 14 runs respectively. Raffatullah Momand was the only notable scorer who scored 33 runs. Gohar Ali (16) and Noman Habib (10) played well. Earlier, Rawalpindi Rawalpindi Rams innings 168 in 20 overs. Fayyaz (18), Naved Malik (25). Babar Naeem (21), Umar Amin (30), Sohain Tanvir (26) and Hammad Azam (14) made good contributions. From Panthers Zohaib Khan for three wickets while Noorul Amin an Nauman Habib got two wickets each while Umar Gul and Nasir Ahmed took one wicket each. Earlier, in the first semi-final, Shoaib Maliks unbeaten 88 off 49 balls gave Sialkot a commanding victory over Lahore at the National Stadium in Karachi, and with it a place in the final of the Faysal Bank Twenty20 Cup. A couple of early wickets meant Sialkot got off to a slow start in their chase of Lahores 167, but Malik held his nerve and controlled the innings. He and Shahid Yousuf, who scored 49, dragged Sialkot out of the hole they were in after the lost both openers inside the first three overs.
