Appointees served notices in IHC illegal appointments case

ISLAMABAD- In illegal appointments at Islamabad High Court (IHC) case Supreme Court (SC) has issued notices to all those who were appointed in the court.

A three-member bench of SC presided over by the CJP Nasir ul Mulk today took up for hearing the petition filed therein challenging the appointments made in IHC.

The petitioner took the plea that these appointments had been made illegally. The persons of their own choice have been favored and norms of merit have been flouted. The petitioner requested the court to declare these appointments illegal and issue orders for making appointments afresh as per law.

The CJP while adjourning the hearing of the case indefinitely has remarked this will be decided later if the petition is maintainable or otherwise.
