SHEIKHUPURA: An eighteen years old female student of a vocational school sustained bullet injuries when she foiled two vagabonds’ bid to kidnap her. Ayesha Bibi was going to her house from the institution. Near city area of Ghang Road, the two bike-riders intercepted her and tried to kidnap her. When she put up resistance, the vagabonds opened fire and injured her seriously.

COP’S HOUSE LOOTED: A police constable’s house was looted by six unidentified dacoits in the urban area of Bhiki Road. The marriage of Abu Bakar’s sister was due after three days of Eidul Azha. The family members were not present in the house except an elderly man at the time of the incident. Six armed dacoits after scaling the boundary wall entered the house and held Yaqoob at gunpoint. When he tried to raise hue and cry, one of them hit him with pistol butt. Critically injuring Yaqoob who later shifted to Lahore in precarious condition, the bandits made off with gold ornaments, precious cloths, cash and other valuables worth Rs1 million.
