KARACHI - Sindh High Court summoned Interior and Foreign Ministry over the petition moved by accused involved in deceitful smuggling of drugs against handing over them to Saudi Arab till 3 September. The petition was moved by the accused Sarwat Hussain, his wife Shafia and their son Faraz Hussain over deceitfully smuggling drugs through Umrah pilgrims, as by hiding heroin in the sandals, while the pilgrim were later arrested under Section 34 and 420 in Saudi Arab. The plaintiff submitted that they are under trial in Pakistani courts, but the negotiations are under process between the higher authorities of both the countries to shift them to Saudi Arab for the trials. They prayed not to hand over them to any other country till the procession of the case to be decided. It is worth mentioning here that the accused couple was arrested in the case of smuggling heroin through fraud and deceit using Pakistani Umrah pilgrims, who were arrested in Saudi Arabia. Whereas, the local police had also claimed to have recovered some 120 grams of heroin from the house of the accused. DSP summoned over murder of youth A division bench of SHC comprising Chief Justice Sarmad Jalal Usmani and Justice Sajjad Ali Shah issued notice to DSP Khalid Mustafa Korahi and others till 4 September. The court summoned the respondents over the petition moved by Gull Taj Bibi, where she submitted that her son named Amanullah Brohi was shot dead at his residence in Moro, Dadu district on the direction of his business partner DSP Khalid Mustafa Korahi. She added that despite passing a lengthy time period, no case was registered against the nominated accused. She made respondent to DSP Khalid Mustafa Korahi, SHO Moro police station Ghulam Nabi Bhutti, SIO Salahuddin and head constable Amanullah Korahi. The plaintiff pleaded to register the case of her sons killing against the respondents.
