ISLAMABAD- A three-member bench of the Supreme Court, Wednesday, expressed its displeasure over Capital polices report regarding alleged abduction of Hassan Sharjeel, 17, by spy agencies. According to details, Hassan Sharjeel, a college student, son of Editor-in-Chief of a news agency, (SANA) Shakeel Ahmad Turabi, went missing 8 months ago and was feared to be kidnapped by the unknown persons. The neighbours of Turabi recorded their statements that before the abduction of Hassan some spy agencies personnel had visited the area and inquired about Turabis boy. Shakeel Ahmed Turabi also told the bench about the spy agency personnels visits to that locality praying that his son should be recovered from the custody of secret agencies. The court gave the task to DIG Islamabad Police Banni Amin but he along with IG Islamabad Kaleem Imam could not produce the missing boy. On the direction of the apex court, the toothless police officials discussed the issue with Secretary Interior. Later a Joint Investigation Team was constituted under SSP Tahir Alam in which officials of ISI and other spy agencies were also included. But the investigation team submitted its report in the Supreme Court in which it claimed that Sharjeel himself had gone for Jihad to Miranshah. The case was fixed for Wednesday but DIG police Banni Amin could not appear before the court under the pretext of his daughters operation. Chief Justice asked the SSP Islamabad Police Tahir Alam that such so-called reports could easily be prepared. Later, the bench adjourned the hearing till September 6.
