KARACHI - In the wake of resignation of Syed Ghous Ali Shah as party’s Sindh President, senior leaders of PML-N Sindh gathered here on Sunday and decided to convey the grievances of the party leaders to the party chief Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and other leadership soon.
The PML-N Sindh leaders at a meeting hosted by former Sindh Chief Minister Liaquat Ali Khan Jatoi also dispelled the reports of emerging of forward bloc in the party’s Sindh chapter following the resignation of Syed Ghous Ali Shah as Sindh President.
The meeting was attended by prominent leaders of the PML-N Sindh including Muhammad Ismael Raho, Shah Muhammad Shah, MNA Ayaz Shah Shirazi, Shafqat Shah Shirazi, son of Irfan Gul Magsi, former Deputy Speaker of National Assembly Zafar Ali Shah, Changez Khan and others.
Sources privy to the meeting told The Nation that Shirazis of Thatta and others complained that the party leadership did not rescue them during the by-elections in Sindh when PPP government was implicating them in false cases and arresting their supporters.
PML-N Sindh leaders from Thatta and other areas complained that party leadership especially the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan should have taken notice of such complaints against the PPP government to rescue the party leaders in Sindh.
Sources said that party leaders of Sindh stated that party leadership was continuously ignoring them in government affairs.
The PML-N Sindh leaders decided to convey their grievances to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and other leaders soon.
The PML-N Sindh leaders rejected the impression of emerging forward bloc and showed confidence in the leadership of Mian Nawaz Sharif as party chief.
Liaquat Jatoi said that party leaders will follow all the decisions of the party leadership.
He said that PPP after coming into power in its second term started political victimisation against the PML-N leaders and workers in Sindh province.
He said that the party appealed to Nawaz Sharif to form a fact finding committee to compile the complaints of injustices of PPP government against PML-N leaders and workers in Sindh and than take the issue with the Sindh government.
