LAHORE - Pakistan team returned home on Sunday late night after winning matches of the international friendly series against India and top Bahraini football clubs. A warm welcome was accorded to the heroes by PFF officials, football players and fans. Head coach Shamlan Mubarik said: “I am very proud of my boys who brought happiness and earned honour for Pakistan. The entire team played as one unit. Their victory in India has raised their morale for the upcoming Asian Games.” Captain Kaleemullah said: “Although Pakistan-India game is always a pressure game yet we played well and win series against our arch-rivals. This win has lifted our morale which is very much in time before the Asian Games.” It is to mention here that the PFF president has announced Rs 6.5 million cash award for the team.–Staff Reporter
