KAMALIA - The newly-constructed school's boundary wall could not resist even first downpour in the area and collapsed due to alleged use of substandard material.

A survey report conducted by this reporter reveals that the government, on demand of the school administration, constructed boundary wall of Govt Girls High School situated in Chak 735/GB. But the walls could not withstand the first heavy rain of the season in the area. The students and school staff, besides lack of security, is facing problems as rainwater of the adjoining streets has accumulated in the school, turning it in a pond.

Parents of the students demanded the authorities concerned to take notice of the situation and built the boundary wall as soon as possible so that the students could continue their study in a safe environment.

When contacted, MPA Nazia Raheel assured that she would ask the Education Department high-ups to construct the boundary wall at the earliest.
