The new Chief Minister (CM) of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah came into office on the 26th of July, 2016. The previous CM, Qaim Ali Shah could not resolve the countless problem that the province faced. Crime rates in Sindh rose during his regime. Violence against women in the rural areas of Sindh grew day by day. Young girls were tortured, abused and raped but no action was taken against their oppressors. Practices like these have persisted. As the previous CM failed to take steps against such criminals, it is the responsibility of the new CM to do so. A reform must be brought to the prevailing systems in Sindh.
