Islamabad - The Department of Global Reach of Roots International Schools held counselling sessions in the twin cities for A-levels and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) students here at RIS Wellington Campus.

The Department of Global Reach at Roots International Schools conducted these College Counselling workshops (101 & 102) across the nationwide colleges, says a press release issued here yesterday. The College Counselling 101 and 102 admission assurance workshops covered all the essential topics regarding college admissions. These workshops were designed as an introduction for students who had very little knowledge pertaining to college admissions. It provided the students with hands-on techniques to aid in the development of a clear foundation in college admissions.

The counselling seminar incorporated of several experiences and success stories from the prior year, including a few speeches by the RIS alumni as well who also serve as the basis for these workshops. The Guest speakers included USEFP & British Council representatives who drawing upon their expertise in their respective fields further provided guidance and answered detailed questions.

The intensive, two-day college admission assurance workshops gave college-bound students the advantage they need, to become the candidates that college admissions committees are seeking. All the while, RIS college consulting provided students with insight into the college admissions process and how it works. The counselling session also discussed student profiles, international university applications, scholarship requirements and SAT details.  Admission Assurance Workshops College Counselling 101 and 102 assisted the students with all sorts of questions and queries they had concerning common application, UCAS, essay writing, college selection, personal statement writing, financial aid opportunities and international scholarships. 

The students actively participated in the session and raised their queries and concerns regarding university application process to the counsellors in the interactive session. The RIS professional career counsellors also highlighted the achievements of RIS and its students body, where the guests invited were delighted to hear about outstanding international US $30 million given to the students this year.

The overall session remained quite interactive.
