Swat (Haroon Siraj): Three robbery cases were reported in various parts of district Swat during last 24 hours.
The increasing robbery incidents have spread fear among the general masses and they have demanded foolproof security from the concerned quarters.
According to details, the robbers looted at least three households in posh area of Afsar Abad Saidu Sharif. According to police sources, the house of Asghar Khan, a resident of College Colony, was burgled and the robbers took away money, mobile phones and home accessories.
In another incident, when people were running after a thief, he opened fire injuring XEN (Building) Swat Shahab Khan, brother of Deputy Commissioner Swat Junaid Khan. However, the people succeeded in apprehending the robber and handed him over to police.
The dacoits also attempted to snatch a bag full of money on gun point from a resident of Saidu Sharif identified as Shaukat Khan, who threw away the bag in a nearby house and the dacoits fled away. The people have demanded from the higher officials of the police department to ensure their security and their properties.
