ISLAMABAD: Capital police have arrested 3 alleged members of inter-provincial gang involved in theft cases and recovered valuables worth millions of rupees from their possession. During interrogation the accused confessed involvement in 21 theft cases in different districts. Meanwhile, Tarnol police arrested 3 accused during especial checking and recovered 2 pistols 30 bore from their possession. According to details Golra police teams arrested three accused Tariq Aziz s/o Taj Muhammad resident of Rawalpindi, Muhammad Boota resident of Jhangi Syadian and Muhammad Sarfraz of Chak Bhera Distt Sargodha. During investigation, they confessed robbery in sector G-10/1, I&T centre Mubashar Pipe store, Taf Tails (Pvt) Thatta Khalil Road Taxila and General store of Muhammad Banaras s/o Hayat Bakish r/o Golra and recovered stolen property worth millions of rupees from their possession. Besides, they further admitted commission of thefts in Gujarnwala, Sailkot, Rawalpindi and eight thefts in the area of Police Station Golra, PS Shalimar and PS Tarnol. Cases have been registered against the accused. Further investigation is under way. Meanwhile Tarnol police during special checking arrested four accused namely Muhammad Babar, Tahir Mehmood Malik Zada and Nosherwan and recovered 2 pistols 30 bore two liquor bottles from their possession. A case has been registered against the accused and further investigation is under way. SSP Tahir Alam has appreciated the performance of concerned police officials and directed all SHOs including Rescue 15 to continue their efforts and booked the out laws involved in crime and anti social activities. He further directed to intensify patrolling in their areas to curb the crime. Meanwhile, National Highways & Motorway Police arrested five dacoits alongwith arms and ammunition after foiling a dacoity attempt on GT Road says a press release. As per details, Motorway Police officers were on their routine patrolling on GT road at about 4:15 Thursday morning, when three men and two women travelling in a car informed the officers that five dacoits in a Mehran car had looted gold jewellery from them on gunpoint and had fled away. On this information, the motorway police officers were got alerted. Meanwhile the commando squad of NH&MP trapped the required Mehran car and arrested five culprits fleeing in the car. The arms and ammunitions were also seized and the car was also taken into custody. During initial interrogation, the culprits confessed many dacoities on National Highway and nearby roads. Later, the Motorway Police handed over the arrested culprits alongwith the recovered arms and ammunition and car to the concerned Local Police for further legal action and investigation.
