Police, civil admin reverted to Feb 24 status

LAHORE - The Punjab government on Wednesday reversed all transfers and postings orders done from February 25 to March 31. According to a source, Chief Minister Punjab issued a policy order that the administration should be reverted to its February 24 status. After this, Chief Secretary Punjab Javed Mahmood issued directions to all administrative departments and the police in this regard. The order is every simple that all the officer and officials should be transferred and posted against the same posts. This has resulted in another large-scale reshuffle in both police and civil bureaucracy, which is being done again in about 36 days. However, no Disturbance Allowance is being given to the officers and officials. Among a huge number of transfer-postings, over 40, both from the civil and police administrations, are mentioned below, while all the departments have carried an extensive exercise for brining pre-February 25 status. Mohsin M. Syed has been appointed as Chairman, Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) relieving Rafia Nazir, Secretary, TEVTA of additional charge of the post. The contractual re-appointment of Brig (r) Javed Iqbal as Chairman Punjab Cooperative Board for Liquidation has been terminated. M. Yawar Irfan Khan has been appointed as Managing Director Punjab Small Industries Corporation on contract basis relieving Secretary Commerce & Investment Department Syed Tahir Raza Naqvi of additional charge of the post. OSD Iftikhar Hussain Shah has been posted as Secretary Ex-servicemen Re-Employment Board, S&GAD. Commissioner Lahore Major (r) Azam Suleman Khan has been transferred and posted as Secretary Forestry, Wildlife & Fisheries Department, while Project Director, PMU, Lahore Ring Road Khusro Pervaiz Khan shall hold additional charge of Commissioner Lahore. Commissioner Rawalpindi Capt (r) Zahid Saeed has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Faisalabad vice Tahir Hussain transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Local Government & Community Development Department vice Dr Syed Pervaiz Abbas transferred as DG Archaeology in place of Capt (r) Syed Musawwir Abbas Naqvi, who has been made OSD. District Coordination Officer Rawalpindi Jamal Mustafa Syed has been made OSD, while Additional Secretary (Admn) S&GAD Imdad Ullah Bosal has been transferred and posted as DCO Rawalpindi vice Jamal Mustafa Syed transferred. DCO Pakpattan Ali Bahadur Qazi has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary CMs Secretariat, while DCO Dera Ghazi Khan Ch. Muhammad Wakeel has been made OSD. OSD Sajjad Ahmad Bhutta has been posted as DCO Lahore vice Capt (r) Nasim Nawaz, who has transferred and posted as DCO Jhelum. DCO Bahawalnagar Wajiullah Kundi has been made OSD, while DCO Sargodha Muhammad Amir Jan has been transferred and posted as DCO Bahawalnagar. Among the policemen, Additional Inspector General CID Punjab has been made OSD, while OSD Malik Muhammad Iqbal has been posted as AIG CID Punjab. Capital City Police Officer Lahore Haji Habib-ur-Rehman has been made OSD, while OSD Muhammad Pervaiz Rathore has been posted CCPO Lahore. Regional Police Officer Gujranwalla Ahsan Mahboob has been made OSD, while OSD Zulfiqar Ahmed Cheema has been posted as RPO Gujranwalla, and he will also hold additional charge of the City Police Officer Gujranwalla since its incumbent Dr Tariq Ahmed Khokhar has been transferred and posted as DIG Traffic Punjab. OSD Rao Muhammad Iqbal has been posted as CPO Rawalpindi against a vacant post. Services of Muhammad Javed Iqbal Butt, Muhammad Farooq, Irfan Yousaf, Aleem Abbas Siddiqui, Liaqat Ali Saleemi and Syed Ali Raza Rizvi have been placed at the disposal of CM Secretariat. Fayyaz Ahmed Jatoi, Deputy District Officer (Revenue) Shahpur has been transferred and posted as Section Officer Finance Department.
