LAHORE - Punjab Art Council (PAC) organised a flower show and flower decoration competition between girls in connection with spring festival at Jinnah Garden here on Friday. Addressing on the occasion MPA Uzma Bukhari said such competitions encouraged the aesthetic sense of the people and it was a very healthy activity. She appreciated PAC for holding the competition. Two categories of the competitors were made one by the students from class six to 10th and the other category was of higher class students up to the level of universities and house wives. About 115 girls and women participated in the competition, wherein fresh flowers were used. Later MPA Uzma Bukhari distributed prizes among the winners. Ms Bushra Naeem from Technical College of Women Model Town, Shahnawaz Zaidi from College of Art and Design University of the Punjab, Ghulam Mustafa Director PAC and Afroz Sarmad Khan performed the duties of judges on the occasion. From category A, Rozha Tariq won the first prize, Fatima Malik second and Masooma Haidar won third position in the flowers garnishing. From category B Beenish Urooj, Saman Qayum and Fatima Zahra won first, second and third poison respectively.
