KARACHI (PR) - Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan conferred the prestigious Presidential Award for Pride of Performance to Ms Masarrat Misbah on behalf of President Asif All Zardari during an impressive ceremony held at the Governor House on Pakistan Day. Through this honourable award, Ms Masarrat Misbahs services for betterment of burn victims were acknowledged. At this ceremony, Sitara-e-Imtiaz, Presidential Award for Pride of Performance and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz were presented to a total of 35 distinguished personalities of Sindh for their outstanding achievements in the field of art, literature, science, sport and journalism. 37 Presidential Awards for Pride of Performance were announced by President Asif Ali Zardari on 14th August, Independence Day last year along with other high-profile civil awards to recognise excellence of notable Pakistani citizens in their field of work. These awards were then presented on provincial basis on Pakistan Day. The ceremony at Governor House was also attended by Chief Minister Syed Qaim Au Shah, Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, and Advisor for Information Jamil Soomro, representatives of three forces, notables and families of award recipients. Expressing her contentment on the occasion, Ms. Masarrat Misbah commented, First of all I would like to thank almighty for this prestigious honor. This day would have never arrived in my life without the endless support and countless blessings of Allah. Furthermore, I would like to thank the President of Pakistan, Governor of Sindh and other related bodies and all my well wishers for this amazing appreciation.
