President Abdullah Gull of Turkey is on a visit to Pakistan for forging better relations between the two Muslim countries. The relation that Pakistan and Turkey have is deemed by peoples of both as beyond words but the true spirit of this brotherly feeling is not quite reflected in our economic ties. The trade volume between two countries is limited to a paltry $740 millions, negligibly puny when considered in the perspective of their respective economic potential. On Mr Gulls present visit, they have agreed to boost up bilateral trade to $5 billion in the near future. Mutual cooperation on fighting the menace of terrorism has also been agreed upon. Pakistan requires strong relations with brotherly Muslim states for ensuring better national security and a brighter economic future. -AMNA ZAMAN, Lahore, April 2.
